A very fitting Illustration Friday topic this week. Goes nicely with the image I was already going to post today. I got a 2 for 1 out of it. Today is the 2 year anniversary of Lollygaggin and that’s certainly reason to celebrate. Or at least good excuse to whip up this illustration.

I dusted off an old illustration which seemed fitting for this week’s IF topic.

Here’s my entry for this weeks Illustration Friday topic, Excess. My 2 year old daughter was inspiration for this one. She’s an overflowing source of inspiration these days so why not take advantage. Now these aren’t things you’d think one could OD on, but leave it to Allie, she sure tries to. It’s a common thing these days to hear her ask things like “Draw Daddy, draw. please. Daddy, draw” or ” More milk please, daddee melk pleess”. With that said; as you might imagine I am proud of her for wanting to overdue it on these things. I still can’t believe how much she loves broccoli. Although we do have to be extra careful hiding the crayons cuz she likes to draw wherever and whenever she can. Thank you Crayola for coming up with the washable crayon!

This weeks Illustration Friday word was easy. There is only one thing I think of now a days when I hear the word moon. That’s my 21 month old daughter chanting moon! moon!; requesting a read of Goodnight Moon before she goes to bed each night.   

Ahhh. Nothing like a fresh pair of Aquaman Underoos.Although this illustration was inspired by the word geeky, I wouldn’t say you’re necessarily a geek for wearing them. I know I felt pretty cool sporting my pair as a kid back in the 80s. 

Here’s the image  I whipped up for this weeks Illustration Friday theme, Twist.
I don’t think I made it very clear here but the bear is having a hard time twisting off the honey jar lid. Hence the flames of frustration (although it does look more like a forest fire). Animating it would help illustrate things here.
