Hungry Giraffe

hungry giraffe

Here’s an illustration I whipped up for my 22 month old daughter. She’s really into giraffes these days and now that she’s talking we like to play a game where she calls out something  and I draw it. Or sometimes I draw it and she tells me what it is. In most cases it involves a magnadoodle or a sketch pad and crayons (that way she can add to the drawings too). This one is much more polished than that and is something she can hang on her wall.

Flashforward Film Festival

30 days

The Flashforward conference was in Boston last week. So I was able to attend the Film Festival which showcased some great work in a variety of categories. It was a fun event and I’m looking forward to catching the next one. Some notable winners include:
Arj & Poopy, winner in the Cartoon category
Creep, winner in the Art category
30 Shorts in 30 Days, winner of the People Choice award (still featured above).
You can check out all the winners and finalists on the Flashforward site.

Human Flipbook

Here’s what happens when a couple guys decided to take on the challenge of animating with t-shirts. 150 shirts were used, each representing one frame of the animation. Glad to see someone went through that hell to produce it. And Erbert & Gerbert’s Sub shop stands to benefit from this clever Your Tube ad. For more on the project check out their site.
